Sketch for a Custom Chuppah
There’s a lot to like about event planning, but I think my absolute favorite part is the design. Especially when a client values decor as much as I do. I am almost constantly drawing, so I love sketching design ideas & having talented vendors turn them into reality. This is a sketch I did for a whimsical, nature-inspired chuppah. The 4 poles are birch tree trunks, and the treetops are more like weeping willows. (Very random aside: weeping willows are my favorite tree!) Rather than using fabric like most chuppahs, the top part of the trees will form a “canopy” above the bride & groom. The trees aren’t actually real, but they will look very organic & natural — especially since the florist will be adding fresh white flowers. I’m very excited to see how it turns out!
